About Gardens Vault

Gardens Vault sells one thing: a sealed vault of open-pollinated heirloom seed you can plant this spring, save from, and plant again every year after.

Most seed on the rack is hybrid. It grows a good crop once, and the seed it sets does not come back true - so every spring you are back at the rack buying the same packets. We think a garden should be able to feed itself, the way it did for the families who planted victory gardens in 1917 and again in 1943.

Every kit holds 35 varieties and more than 16,000 seeds, each packet labeled with planting depth, spacing, sun and days to harvest, sealed airtight for long-term storage.
